Dr. Anna Scott is delighted to join the Dental Arts Group and looks forward to working alongside Dr. Clifford and the exceptional team. Committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive dental care, Dr. Scott aims to build long-lasting relationships with her patients, ensuring they receive the highest-quality treatment in a comfortable and empathetic environment.
Originally from Waddington, a charming town in upstate New York, Dr. Scott’s journey into dentistry is both personal and inspiring. As a child, she was terrified of dentists, which led her to develop deep empathy for her patients. This unique perspective drives her dedication to making dental visits as comfortable as possible, particularly for those who have had negative experiences in the past.
Dr. Scott earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the prestigious University of Buffalo in 2023. Following dental school, she completed a rigorous residency at the Providence VA Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, which she will conclude in June 2024. Her advanced training has equipped her with a wide range of skills and a profound understanding of patient care.
Passionate about building genuine connections, Dr. Scott chose dentistry to foster strong, trusting relationships with her patients. She believes that creating a trustworthy environment is essential for effective treatment and patient satisfaction. Her goal is to find a long-term professional home where she can contribute to the community and continue to grow both personally and professionally.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Scott is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys running, biking, hiking, participating in half-marathons, and exploring the 46 high peaks of Adirondack Park. Family is also important to her; she often engages in these activities with her parents and siblings, who still reside in Waddington, NY. Interestingly, Dr. Scott has a unique hobby—she once ran an ice cream business, making ice cream by hand and selling it from a tricycle. Her favorite flavor is peanut butter.
Dr. Scott is particularly excited about joining the Dental Arts Group due to the welcoming atmosphere created by Dr. Clifford and the team. She appreciates Dr. Clifford’s honesty and the practice’s supportive, patient-focused approach. Moving to Ithaca, she is eager to serve a community that feels like home, reflecting her roots in rural America.
Patients can look forward to meeting Dr. Scott starting in early August. She is enthusiastic about contributing to the Dental Arts Group team and creating positive dental experiences for all her patients.
